Primulina Zhou’s Muscular Forestry Guy

Primulina ‘Zhou’s Muscular Forestry Guy’, 2021, IR211660, hybridized by Fang Wen, Wei-Chuen Chou; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. wentsaii x P. fuchuanensis sp. nov.). Cross made 05.17.2019, seeds planted 11.11.2019, first flowering 06.08.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem ca. 2 cm. Leaves dark green, 4-8 cm long, 3.5-4.5 cm wide, 1-2 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, entire margin, bullate, hairy. Calyx split, pale green, ca. 10 mm. Length of the pedicel 1-1.5 cm, 1-2, rarely 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 4.5 cm long, ca. 3.0 cm wide, entire corolla bright purple. Small to medium plant size. Prefers bright scattered natural light but can stand strong sunlight; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); don’t overfertilize and overwater.
