Streptocarpus ‘Violet Ray’, 2013, IR131230, George Gessert, OR. (S.07D-5 × S. kentaniensis.) Cross made April 4, 2010, planted Jul. 17, 2010 and first flowered Nov. 12, 2011. Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette. Leaves deep green, up to 10 in. long × 2 in. wide with 0.5 in. petiole, linear with crenate margin, acute tip and cuneate base. Calyx pale purple, 0.75 in. long. Pedicel 7.5 in. long, 2-4 flowers per leaf axil. Corolla salverform, 1 in. long × 1.5 in. wide, pale purple with deep purple throat.
