Primulina Twilight

Primulina ‘Twilight’, 2023, IR231919, hybridized by Wendi Yu, Huimin Deng, Jiajun Huang, Guiyun Jiang, Yazhi Liu, Yixun Yu, Juanxu Liu; South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, China. (P. jiangyongensis  x  P. wuae). Cross made 03.05.2021, seeds planted 03.15.2021, first flowering 04.20.2023. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves soft green with reddish-brown tips on older leaves, 10.5-12.2 cm long, 5.8-6.9 cm wide, 2.8-3.5 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length 6-7 mm. Length of the pedicel 2-3 cm, 2 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.4-4.7 cm long, 2.5-2.8 cm wide, light purple with darker nectar guides. This hybrid is suitable for growing in a warm and humid environment, the most suitable growing temperature is 24-32℃.
