Achimenes SRG’s Nero

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Nero’, 2022, IR221784, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. unnamed seedling  x  A. unnamed seedling). Cross made 04.2009, seeds planted 01.2010, first flowering 07.2010. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect self-branching habit, stem length 15 cm. Leaves green, 4 cm long, 3 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cordate base, serrate margin. Calyx split to leafy, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 4cm wide, vivid red.
