Achimenes SRG’s Icy Volga

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Icy Volga’ 2022, IR221752, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. hybrid x A. hybrid). Cross made 04.2008, seeds planted 02.2009, first flowering 07.2009. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect habit, stem length 15 cm. Leaves green, 6 cm long, 4 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, serrate margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 6.5 cm wide, white. Heavy bloomer, resistant to heat. An attractive sport of it has petals with splashes of lavender.
