Petrocosmea Ripple

Petrocosmea ‘Ripple’ , 2023, IR231909, hybridized by Tian-Feng Lu, Miao-Miao Wang, Yin-Zheng Wang; Institute of Botany; Chinese Academy of Sciences; China National Botanical Garden; Beijing, China. (P. rosettifolia x P. barbata). Cross made 11/21/2017, seeds planted 03/02/2018, date of first flowering 10/28/2022. True from seed. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 3.5 cm long, 3.2 cm wide, 3.8 cm petiole, ovate to orbicular shape, rounded tip, cuneate base, entire to crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.7 cm. Length of pedicel 11.5 cm. 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, bilabiate, lilac color, 5-6 lobes, 2.3 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, light purple. Yellow spots inside the tube throat under the stamens. 2-3 fertile stamens. The plants require moist and shady environment.
