Primulina Hold in Store

Primulina ‘Hold in Store’, 2020, IR201541, hybridized by Dayan Tao, Haixia Yan，Shikai Guan, Shuming Luo, Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. sinovietnamica x P. spinulosa). Cross made 10.23.2019, seeds planted 12.20.2019, first flowering 09.03.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green with short spines, 5.4-7.1 cm long, 1.6-2.4 cm wide, 0.9-1.6 cm petiole, linear, with cuneate base, acute tip, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, light green 0.3-0.4 cm. Length of the pedicel 1.2-3.3 cm, 7 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.0-3.2 cm long x 1.3-1.4 cm wide, purple. The variety prefers shade and humid environment. Flowering period is from September to October.
