Episcia ‘GV’s Thunderbolt’ 2022, IR221711, hybridized by Gayathri Valsala, Kollam, Kerala, India. (E. ‘Malayan Gem’ x E. ‘Jim’s Daphne’s Choice’). Cross made 12.06.2020, seeds planted 12.07.2020, first flowering 01.24.2022. Fertile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem 5 cm. Leaves black with silver around midrib, 14.5 cm long, 9.7 cm wide, 4.5 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, bullate. Calyx split, brown, 10 mm. Length of the pedicel 4.5 cm, 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.8 cm long, 2.6 cm wide, red(orange) with yellow dotted throat.
