Primulina Green Lotus

Primulina ‘Green Lotus’, 2023, IR231915, hybridized by Wendi Yu, Jiajun Huang, Yazhi Liu, Huimin Deng, Guiyun Jiang, Jiahao Cao, Yixun Yu, Juanxu Liu; South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.  (P. carinata x P. lianpingensis). Cross made 07/10/2021, seeds planted 07/24/2021, date of first flowering 08/28/2023). Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves lime green, 5.5-6.5 cm long, 3.6-4.2 cm wide, 1.8-2.5 cm petiole, ovate shape, acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. The old leaves have reddish-brown margins when there is enough light. Calyx split, green, 0.6 cm long. Length of pedicel 11-12 cm., 11-14 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, purple, 2.5-2.7 cm long, 1.2 cm wide. The plants require warm, humid environment, most suitable growing temperature 24-32 degrees C.
