Primulina GCCC’s Yun Fei

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Yun Fei’, 2023, IR231971, hybridized by Fu Long-Fei, Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC, Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. yungfuensis x P. heterochroa). Cross made 05.01.2018, seed planted 09.15.2018, first flowering 05.12.2020. Sterile. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, veins obvious, thick, fleshy, 4-7 cm long, 3.5-5 cm wide, petiole 1-2 cm, elliptic with an acute tip, cuneate base, margin entire, smooth. Calyx split pale purple, 5-8 mm long. Length of the pedicel 15-20 mm, 12 or more flowers per axil. Corolla 4.5-6 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, purple with two yellow stripes, and petal margins yellow. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
