Primulina GCCC’s Yu Zhu Lin

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Yu Zhu Lin’, 2023, IR231946, hybridized by Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Fu Long-Fei; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC; Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. guizhongensis x P. sinovietnamica). Cross made 10.12.2019, seed planted 01.15.2020, first flowering 09.01.2022. Sterile. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green with large yellowish-green markings, 8.5-9 cm long, 4.5-5.5 cm wide, petiole 3.5-4.5 cm long, ovate with an acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, yellowish-green, 5-8 mm long. Length of the pedicel 6-7 cm, 16 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.5-5 cm long, 3.5-4 cm wide, purple. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
