Primulina GCCC’s Xiang Ji

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Xiang Ji’, 2023, IR231963, hybridized by Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Tan Ke; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. ronganensis  x  P. lutea). Cross made 04.15.2019, seeds planted 07.17.2019, first flowering 04.17.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, thick, fleshy, 3.5-5.5 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, 1.5-2.5 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, pale green, length 3-5 mm. Length of the pedicel 1-1.5 cm, 6 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2-3 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, pale yellow. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
