×Primucodon GCCC’s Tao Hua Yi Jiu

xPrimucodon ‘GCCC’s Tao Hua Yi Jiu’, 2023, IR231926, hybridized by Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (Primulina macrorhiza  x  Petrocodon albinervius). Cross made 04.13.2020, seeds planted 07.15.2020, first flowering 04.24.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, main and lateral veins are more or less white in appearance, ca. 8 cm long, ca. 5 cm wide, 3-6 cm petiole, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length 4-5 mm. Length of the pedicel 1-3 cm, 6 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide, peach red to purplish-red flowers with white markings inside. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
