Primulina GCCC’s Qiantao Chuli

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Qiantao Chuli’, 2023, IR231936, hybridized by Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Fu Long-Fe; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. albicalyx  x  P. curvituba). Cross made 06.16.2019, seeds planted 09.15.2019, first flowering 06.24.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, veins obvious, thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, 5-7 cm long, 4-6 cm wide, 2-4 cm petiole, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, yellowish green, length 5-8 mm. Length of the pedicel 3-4 cm, 30 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.0-4.0 cm long, 2.5-3.5 cm wide, pinkish white to light purplish white. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
