Primulina GCCC’s Purple Peak

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Purple Peak’, 2021, IR211668, hybridized by Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei, Yu-Zhen Ge; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. glandaceistriata ‘Chang Ngo’ x P. sichuanensis var. pinnatipartita). Cross made 04.29.2018, seeds planted 09.20.2018, first flowering 04.30.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem 0.8 cm or longer. Leaves green ca. 6 cm long, 3.5-4.5 cm wide, 3-4 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, smooth. Calyx split, pale green, ca. 7 mm. Length of the pedicel 1-1.2 cm, 6-10 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca.3 cm long, ca. 2 cm wide, elegant bluish purple, throat with dark purple stripes. Small plant size. Prefers bright scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); don’t overfertilize and overwater.
