Primulina GCCC’s Ning Shuang

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Ning Shuang’, 2023, IR231950, hybridized by Tan Ke, Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC; Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. hochiensis x P. leprosa). Cross made 10.15.2018, seed planted 12.01.2018, first flowering 09.10.2020. Sterile. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, thick, fleshy, pubescent on both surfaces, 6-8 cm long, 4-6 cm wide, petiole 1-3 cm long, elliptic with an acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 5-7 mm long. Length of the pedicel 15-25 mm, 25 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5-5 cm long, 2.5-3 cm wide, white with two yellow stripes on the lower surface of the throat. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
