Primulina ‘GCCC’s Jin Huang’, 2023, IR231958, hybridized by Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. ningmingensis  P. leprosa). Cross made 09.09.2021, seeds planted 12.15.2021, first flowering 11.02.2023. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green with extremely short purple appressed soft hairs, making the leaves appear to have a purple hue. 10-15 cm long, 8-11 cm wide, 1-2 cm petiole, ovate to orbicular with rounded tip, cuneate base, entire margin, bullate, hairy. Calyx split, purplish green, length 5-8 mm. Length of the pedicel 3-4 cm, 10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5-4.2 cm long, 2.7-3.4 cm wide, bright yellow, with the upper lip featuring red veins. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
