Primulina GCCC’s Jin Chi Que

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Jin Chi Que’, 2023, IR231966, hybridized by Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC, Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. lutea x P. macrorhiza). Cross made 05.07.2021, seed planted 09.15.2021, first flowering 07.18.2023. Sterile. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green to green with obvious white veins, 8-10 cm long, 5-7 cm wide, petiole 1-2 cm long, orbicular with an acute tip, cordate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, yellowish green, 5-8 mm long. Length of pedicel 3-4 cm, 5 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform 3.5-4 cm long, 2.5-3 cm wide, yellow with orange vertical stripes on the interior. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
