Primulina GCCC’s Jiao Jiao

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Jiao Jiao’, 2023, IR231972, hybridized by Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Fu Long-Fei; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC, Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. yungfuensis x P. hochiensis var. rosulata). Cross made 04.24.2020, seed planted 07.15.2020, first flowering 03.29.2022. Sterile. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, extensive light markings, thick, fleshy, pubescent on both sides, 4-5 cm long, 3-4 cm wide, petiole 1-2 cm, ovate with an acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 3-5 mm long. Length of the pedicel 15-20 mm, 3 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 1.5-2 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, pale purple. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
