Primulina GCCC’s Bai Yu Shan

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Bai Yu Shan’, 2023, IR231934, hybridized by Fu Long-Fei, Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. ‘GCCC’s Chang Ngo’  P. titan). Cross made 04.18.2019, seeds planted 09.15.2019, first flowering 03.31.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 9-12 cm long, 8-10 cm wide, 2-3 cm petiole, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, bullate. Calyx split, yellowish green, length 10-12 mm. Length of the pedicel 0.8-1.2 cm, 18 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.5-6.5 cm long, 4-5 cm wide, white, throat purple with two yellow stripes. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
