Primulina ‘Fanrong’, 2024, IR241978, hybridized Lin Mao, Li Bing, Wu Jianyun, Sun Lina, Hu Xueyan, Chen Er, Yang Shuting; Guangxi Forestry Research Institute, Nanning, China. (P. dryas ‘Hisako’  x  P. guigangensis). Cross made 08.2021, seeds planted 12.2021, first flowering 08. 2022. Fertile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem length 9-10 cm. Leaves GREEN GROUP NN137 Greyish Olive Green A with white network veins 12-15 cm long, 6.0-6.6 cm wide, 5.5-7.0 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, RED-PURPLE Group 59 strong purplish red D, length 6-7 mm. Length of the pedicel 2.0-2.5 cm, 2-5 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform 3.8-3.9 cm long, 2.5-3.0 cm wide, VIOLET GROUP N87 Brilliant Purple A. The length of the bloom stalks is 18-22cm, the color is PURPLE GOUP N77 Greyish Purple A. This hybrid has strong adaptability, shade-tolerant, drought-tolerant, loose and breathable soil is appropriate, is the first choice for alpine gardens configuration in landscaping. The propagation method can be leaf cutting or tissue culture.
