Primulina CW’s Rouge Dream

Primulina ‘CW’s Rouge Dream’, 2023, IR231834, hybridized by Xin-xin Deng, Wei-Chuen Chou, Fang Wen; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. tiandengensis x  P. titan). Cross made 03.09.2019, seeds planted 06.23.2019, first flowering 03.17.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, ca. 10 cm long, 4.5-8 cm wide, ca. 1 cm petiole, veins obvious yellowish white, blades fleshy, pubescent but gradually glabrous both surfaces, blade elliptic, acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, smooth. Calyx split, green, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel 3.0-3.5 cm, ca. 6 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 5 cm long, 1.8-2.3 cm wide, pale reddish purple to purple with rouge coloring. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
