Primulina CW’s Happy Dream

Primulina ‘CW’s Happy Dream’, 2023, IR231840, hybridized by Wei-Chuen Chou, Fang Wen, Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. maculata x P. jiuwanshanica). Cross made 06.09.2019, seeds planted 09.25.2019, first flowering 05.24.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, ca. 12 cm long, 5-6 cm wide, 3-4 cm petiole, obvious silvery veins, blades thick, fleshy, glabrous both surfaces, blade ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, slightly serrate margin, smooth. Calyx split, purplish brown, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 3.3 cm, ca. 6 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 5 cm long, 0.7-2 cm wide, corolla purple, inside with yellow honey guides and dark purple spots and stripes. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
