Primulina CW’s Chuang Tzu’ Dream Butterfly

Primulina ‘CW’s Chuang Tzu’ Dream Butterfly’, 2023, IR231861, hybridized by Wei-Chuen Chou, Fang Wen; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. macrorhiza f. alba x P. diffusa ‘Jade Tablet’). Cross made 08.12.2019, seeds planted 12.30.2019, first flowering 07.30.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, ca.4 cm long, ca. 2.5 cm wide, 2-5 cm petiole, with blurry white veins, thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx fused, pink. Length of the pedicel ca. 2 cm, 1-2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, calyx double, ca. 2 cm long, ca. 1.5 cm wide, pink to purplish pink. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
