Streptocarpus Cool Blue Bitsy

Streptocarpus ’Cool Blue Bitsy’. 1999, IR99592, J. Ford, OH. [1987]. (224 x ‘Party Doll’). Fertile but reproducible only vegetatively. Compact rosette, mature in 10 cm (4 in.) pot. Leaves bullate, dark green, 20 cm long x 6.5 cm wide, elliptic with serrate margin and acute tip. 1-2 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, tube 2.5 cm long, limb 3 cm x 2.5 cm, light blue with lighter, almost white throat, marked with yellow at opening, dark blue veins extend onto lower lobes. First commercial listing 1997, Tiki Nurs. cat. as ‘Cool Blue’.
