PrimulinaM Carpet of Flowers

Primulina ‘Carpet of Flowers’, 2020, IR201518,  registered by Haixia Yan, Jinye Zhou, Dayan Tao, Qian Song, Flower Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanning, China. (P. glandaceistriata x P. yungfuensis). Cross made 05.02.2017, seeds planted 06.27.2017, first flowering 05.03.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves dark green with white veins, 9.2-10.2 cm long, 6.7-7.3 cm wide, 2.1-5.5 cm petiole, elliptic, with cuneate base, acute tip, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, light brown 0.4-0.7 cm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-1.8 cm, 3-9 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5.5-6.0 cm long x 1.4-2.0 cm wide, purplish. Good ventilation is necessary. It needs bright, scattered sunlight.
