Streptocarpus Buttons

Streptocarpus ’Buttons’. 2001, IR01796, K. Williams. (parentage unknown as are dates of hybridizing and first blooming). Fertile but repro­ducible only vegetatively. Compact growing rosette. Leaves bullate, mid green, 6 ½ in. long x 2 in. wide with 1-2 in. petiole, linear with acute tip and cuneate base. Calyx green, split, 2 1/8 in. long, 2-6 flowers per peduncle. Corolla salverform, 2 in. long 1 ¼ in. wide, dark red with slightly darker veins, white in upper throat.
