Petrocosmea Blue Visions

Petrocosmea ‘Blue Visions’, 2023, IR231911, hybridized by Miao-Miao Wang, Yin-Zheng Wang; Institute of Botany; Chinese Academy of Sciences; China National Botanical Garden; Beijing, China. (P. sinensis  P. cryptica). Cross made 03.07.2018, seeds planted 05.28.2018, first flowering 11.09.2022. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 2.4 cm long, 2.1 cm wide, 4.5 cm petiole, elliptic to ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 4 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, 1.0 cm long, 1.4 cm wide, purple. The adaxial lip indistinctly 2-lobed, two lobes are fused and each lobe is folded and rolled laterally. Yellow spots inside the tube throat under the stamens. Plants require moist and shady environment.
