Primulina Autumn Color of Li-River

Primulina ‘Autumn Color of Li-River’, 2015, IR151279, Yu-Zhen Ge, Fang Wen, Zhi-Guo Zhao, Guangxi, China (P. lijiangensis  x P. lutea). Cross made Jun. 10, 2012, planted Sep 27, 2012, and first flowered Jun 3, 2013. Sterile.  Reproducible only vegetatively. Rosette.  Leaves vary from pale green to dark green depending on the light conditions, hairy, 9-14 cm long x 6.5 – 9 cm wide with 7-10 cm petiole, elliptic-ovate with entire margin, cuneate base and acute tip. Calyx split, purple, 2.5 – 3 cm long. Pedicel 2 – 2.5 cm with 6-12 flowers. Corolla salverform, 3.5 – 5 cm long, 1.0-1.5 cm wide.Young blossoms begin as dark purple, purple, or purplish-pink.  They gradually change color until they are yellowish purple or brownish purple. Prefers brightly scattered natural or artificial light, moist but well drained substrate, calcium rich, do not overfertilize, otherwise grows spindly and hard to bloom. Most important distinguishing charachteristic is its gradually chaging color of the blossoms,  looks like sunset glow or autumnal tints along Li river. The corolla color of this hybrid is a composite of the colors of parents.
