Primulina GCCC’s Zi Di

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Zi Di’, 2023, IR231954, registered by Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. longgangensis  P. sinovietnamica). Natural hybrid in the wild, first flowering 10.09.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves dark green, with the leaf tips turning red-purple when temperatures are low in the autumn and winter seasons, 9-15 cm long, 4.5-6 cm wide, 1-5 cm petiole, linear with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, purple, length 5-8 mm. Length of the pedicel 3-4 cm, 10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4-4.5 cm long, 3-3.5 cm wide, purplish red. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
