Primulina GCCC’s Jiu Jiu

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Jiu Jiu’, 2023, IR231952, hybridized by Zhang Shu-Shan, Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. linearicalyx f. alba  x  P. jingxiensis). Cross made 10.12.2019, seeds planted 01.20.2020, first flowering 09.13.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 4-6 cm long, 2.5-3 cm wide, 2-3 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, yellowish green, length 5-8 mm. Length of the pedicel 2-4 cm, 10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3-3.5 cm long, 2-2.5 cm wide, pinkish purple. Very floriferous, 100 or more blossoms per plant. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
