Primulina GCCC’s Tong Que

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Tong Que’, 2023, IR231940, hybridized by Wen Fang, Wei Yi-Gang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Xin Zi-Bing; Guangxi Institute of Botany, CAS & GCCC; Guilin City, Guangxi, China. (P. carinata x P. yungfuensis). Cross made 04.10.2019, seeds planted 09.15.2019, first flowering 04.29.2021. Sterile. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, yellowish-green with reticulated markings, 5-8 cm long, 4-6 cm wide, 4-7 cm petiole, ovate with an acute tip, cordate base, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, yellowish-green, 2-3 mm long. Length of the pedicel 4-6 cm, 12 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5-6 cm long, 3.5-4 cm wide, lilac. This hybrid prefers bright scattered light, moist, well-drained, calcium-rich soil with limited fertilization.
