Primulina GCCC’s Song Yun

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Song Yun’, 2023, IR231935, hybridized by Wen Fang, Wei Yi-Gang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Xin Zi-Bing; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. dryas ‘Hisako’  P. hochiensis var. ochroleuca). Cross made 03.15.2018, seeds planted 09.15.2018, first flowering 03.28.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces 5-7 cm long, 4-5.5 cm wide, 2-4 cm petiole, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length ca. 7 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.5-2.5 cm, 8 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5-4.5 cm long, 2.5-3.5 cm wide, white with orange throat. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
