Primulina GCCC’s Song Yun

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Song Yun’, 2023, IR231935, hybridized by Wen Fang, Wei Yi-Gang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Xin Zi-Bing; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. dryas ‘Hisako’  x  P. hochiensis var. ochroleuca). Cross made 03.15.2018, seeds planted 09.15.2018, first flowering 03.28.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, thick, fleshy, pubescent both surfaces 5-7 cm long, 4-5.5 cm wide, 2-4 cm petiole, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length ca. 7 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.5-2.5 cm, 8 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5-4.5 cm long, 2.5-3.5 cm wide, white with orange throat. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
