Primulina GCCC’s Fu Xiang

Primulina ‘GCCC’s Fu Xiang’, 2023, IR231932, hybridized by Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang, Wen Fang, Tan Ke; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (P. ‘GCCC’s Jade Tablet’ x P. heterochroa). Cross made 09.15.2020, seeds planted 12.20.2020, first flowering 10.10.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green with white veins, 8.0-10 cm long, 4-5 cm wide, 1.5-2 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length 10-15 mm. Length of the pedicel 3-3.5 cm, 16 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 5-6 cm long, 3.5-4 cm wide, yellow to purple gradient, purple with two yellow stripes in the throat. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
