xPrimucodon ‘GCCC’s Peach Blossom Star’, 2023, IR231929, hybridized by Di-Ya Chen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Yi-Gang Wei, Fang Wen; Guilin University of Technology; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (Primulina yungfuensis x Petrocodon asterostriatus). Cross made 04.12.2020, seeds planted 07.15.2020, first flowering 07.22.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem length 2-5 cm. Leaves green, veins obvious, thick, coreaceous, glabrous both surfaces, 5-10 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, 3-5 cm petiole, ovate to orbicular with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, length ca. 10 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 1 cm, 5 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 4 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, pink with dark purple stripes. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
