×Primucodon GCCC’s Hong Xian Nv

xPrimucodon ‘GCCC’s Hong Xian Nv’, 2023, IR231924, hybridized by Wen Fang, Chou Wei-Chuen, Wei Yi-Gang; Guangxi Institute of Botany; CAS; GCCC, Guilin City, China. (Primulina albicalyx  x  Petrocodon rubrostriatus). Cross made 09.11.2021, seeds planted 11.30.2021, first flowering 10.12.2023. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 8-10 cm long, 5-6 cm wide, 2-5 cm petiole, ovate to orbicular with rounded tip, cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, pale green, length 5-8 mm. Length of the pedicel 3-4 cm, 10 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.0-3.2 cm long, 2.8-3.0 cm wide, light yellow with distinct red veins and a reddish blush on the inside of the corolla. This hybrid prefers brightly scattered lighting; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to pH ≥7.0); don’t over-fertilize and overwater.
