Primulina Flower Shadow

Primulina ‘Flower-shadow’, 2023, IR231913, hybridized by Guiyun Jiang, Yazhi Liu, Jiajun Huang, Junwei Yuan, Peiying Li, Meishi Xie, Xin Li, Juanxu Liu, Yixun Yu; South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.  (P. carinata x P. guizhonggensis). Cross made 05/03/2021, seeds planted 05/13/2021, date of first flowering 07/02/2023). Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette.  Leaves green with light green veins, 5.8-6.5 cm long, 4-4.4 cm wide, 7-7.5 cm petiole, ovate shape, acute tip, chordate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.4-0.5 cm long. Length of pedicel 7-9 cm., 8-12 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, Light purple, 4.3-4.5 cm long, 2.8-3 cm wide. The plants require warm, humid environment, most suitable growing temperature 24-32 degrees C.
