Primulina Emerald Green Clothes

Primulina ‘Emerald Green Clothes’, 2023, IR231912, hybridized by Wendi Yu, Jiajun Huang, Guiyun Jiang, Wenjie Yang, Yi Yao, Juanxu Liu, Yixun Yu; South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.  (P. fimbrisepala x P. leiophylla). Cross made 03/20/2021, seeds planted 04/24/2021, date of first flowering 03/10/2023). Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette. Leaves green, 9.5-11 cm long, 7.8-9 cm wide, 4.5-6 cm petiole, ovate shape, acute tip, chordate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, light green, 0.8-1.1 cm long. Length of pedicel 15.2-18.5 cm., 3-7 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, blue-purple, 4.6-4.9 cm long, 2.9-3.4 cm wide. The hybrid has light colored, large flowers, erect stems, and excellent ornamental traits. The plants require warm and humid environment, most suitable temperature 24-32 degrees C.
