Petrocosmea Melody

Petrocosmea ‘Melody’, 2023, IR231910, hybridized by Miao-Miao, WangYin-Zheng Wang; China National Botanical Garden; Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Science; Beijing; China. (P. sericea x P. barbata). Cross made 12/27/2017, seeds planted 03/06/2018, date of first flowering 11/09/2022). True from seed. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves grey green, 3.7 cm long, 3.3 cm wide, 4.1 cm petiole, elliptic to ovate shape, acute tip, chordate to cuneate base, crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 0.5 cm long. Length of pedicel 13.7 cm. 4-6 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, purple, 1.5 cm long, 1.9 cm wide, orange spots inside the deep purple tube throat, two yellow spots on the abaxial lips. The plants require moist and shady environment.
