Petrocosmea Blue Magic

Petrocosmea ‘Blue Magic’ , 2023, IR231908, hybridized by Chao-Qun Li, Tian-Feng Lu, Yin-Zheng Wang; Institute of Botany; Chinese Academy of Sciences; China National Botanical Garden; Beijing, China. (P. barbata x P. sinensis). Cross made 12/02/2017, seeds planted 02/24/2018, date of first flowering 11/09/2022.  True from seed. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 4.2 cm long, 4.4 cm wide, 3.8 cm petiole, ovate, acute to rounded tip, chordate base, entire to crenate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green with brown base, 0.3 cm. Length of pedicel 7.8 cm with brown base. 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, 1 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, purple. Yellow spots inside the tube throat under the stamens, two yellowish white patches on the abaxial lips. The plants require moist and shady environment.
