Petrocosmea Cloak

Petrocosmea ‘Cloak’, 2023, IR231907, hybridized by Tian-Feng Lu, Yin-Zheng Wang; Institute of Botany; Chinese Academy of Sciences; China National Botanical Garden; Beijing, China. (P. cryptica x P. shilinensis var. changhuensis). Cross made 02/13/2018, seeds planted 05/07/2018, date of first flowering 11/09/2022. True from seed. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 3.5 cm long, 2.2 cm wide, 3.1 cm petiole. elliptic to ovate with acute tip., cuneate base, serrate margin, hairy. Upper leaf surface covered with long hairs arising from pustulate bases, visible midrib and veins raised on lower surface.  Calyx split, green3 mm. Length of pedicel 7.3 cm, 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform1.7 cm long, 1.8 cm wide, light purple. The abaxial lips 3-4-lobed. Two brown spots inside the tube throat under the stamens. The plants require moist and shady environment.
