Petrocosmea Stancy

Petrocosmea ‘Stancy’, 2023, IR231903, hybridized by Tian-Feng Lu, Yin-Zheng Wang; Institute of Botany; Chinese Academy of Sciences; China National Botanical Garden; Beijing, China. (P. sericea x P. rosettifolia).  Cross made 12.11.2017, seeds planted 2.28.2018, first flowering 11.13.2022. Sterile. Leaves green. 4.1 cm long, 3.1 cm wide, 7.2 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin. Calyx split, green, 6 mm. Length of the pedicel 7.6 cm, 1 flower per axil. Corolla salverform, 1.8 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, purple, two upper corolla lobes light purple and each lobe folded and rolled laterally. Lower corolla lobes semicircle and extended forward.   The plants require amoist and shady environment.
