Primulina Pink Butterfly

Primulina ‘Pink Butterfly’, 2023, IR231888, hybridized by Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao, Shikai Guan, Qian Song; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Nanning, China. (P. longgangensis x P. spadiciformis). Cross made 11.11.2019, seeds planted 01.10.2020, first flowering 10.20.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves moderate yellow green, 6.3-12.1 cm long, 2.5-3.4 cm wide, 2.1-4.8 cm petiole, linear with acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 9-10 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.8-2.3 cm, 2-4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.4-2.7 cm long, 1.2-1.3 cm wide, light reddish purple. Requires bright conditions, cannot tolerate waterlogging.
