Primulina ‘Jie Jie Gao’, 2023, IR231867, hybridized by Yang Shuting, Chen Er, Sun Lina, Lin Mao, Li Bing, Tang Qiumin; Guangxi Forestry Research Institute; Nanning, China. (P. macrorhiza x P. purpurea). Cross made 03.02.2021, seeds planted 04.16.2021, first flowering 03.15.2022. Fertile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem length 10-13 cm. Leaves GREEN GROUP 137 Moderate Olive Green B, 12.5-17 cm long, 6.5-8.5 cm wide, 5.0-7.0 cm petiole, elliptic with acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, YELLOW-GREEN GROUP 144 strong yellow green C, 8-9 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-2.0 cm, 8-11 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 4.3-4.5 cm long, 1.8-3.0 cm wide, VIOLET GROUP N88 light Violet C. The substrate is preferred to be loose and breathable. This cultivar is tolerant of drought, but adequate moisture and direct sunlight promotes better flowering.
