Primulina Mr. Chongzhi

Primulina ‘Mr. Chongzhi’, 2023, IR231864, hybridized by Yuyang Lei, Haixia Yan, Jinye Zhou, Qian Song; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Nanning, China. (P. purpureokylin x P. papillosa). Cross made 11.19.2021, seeds planted 12.27.2021, first flowering 12.02.2022. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 4.9-6.9 cm long, 1.9-2.5 cm wide, 1.4-2.3 cm petiole, ovate with acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, brown, 6-7 mm. Length of the pedicel 2.3-3.5 cm, 4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.7-4.2 cm long, 2.6-2.9 cm wide, purple. Prefers bright light, can tolerate heat and drought. The soil is required to be loose and breathable.
