Primulina CW’s Elegant Dream

Primulina ‘CW’s Elegant Dream’, 2023, IR231843, hybridized by Wei-Chuen Chou, Yi-Gang Wei, Fang Wen; Guangxi Institute of Botany & Gesneriads Conservation Center of China; Guilin, China. (P. lutea x P. purpureokylin). Cross made 07.29.2019, seeds planted 12.30.2019, first flowering 07.17.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 7-10 cm long, 4.5-6.5 cm wide, 2-5 cm petiole, with obvious veins, blades thick, fleshy, glabrous both surfaces, blade elliptic to ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, pale green, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 3 cm, ca. 4 or more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 4.5 cm long, ca. 2 cm wide, corolla pale apricot to pale yellow with pale purple shading. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not overfertilize and overwater.
