Achimenes SRG’s Fluffy Wambler

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Fluffy Wambler’ 2022, IR221808, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. unnamed seedling 2008 x A. HS-004-2008). Cross made 05.2009, seeds planted 01.2010, first flowering 07.2010. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect habit, stem length 18 cm. Leaves green, 4 cm long, 4 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cordate base, serrate margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 2 cm, 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 6-7 cm wide, deep purple with white splashes on the petals. Heavily blooming self-branching compact cultivar.
