Achimenes SRG’s Dale Martens Supreme

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Dale Martens Supreme’ 2022, IR221801, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. unnamed seedling  x  A. unnamed seedling). Cross made 05.2010, seeds planted 02.2011, first flowering 08.2011. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect to trailing habit, stem length 15 cm. Leaves green, 4 cm long, 4 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 2 cm, 2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, semidouble to double, 3 cm long, 5.5 cm wide, pinky red with fringed petals.  A tetraploid version of the original cultivar ‘SRG’s Dale Martens’ with sturdy stems. Very floriferous.
