Achimenes SRG’s Hot Spot

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Hot Spot’ 2022, IR221798, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. unnamed seedling 2009 x A. HS-004-2009). Cross made 04.2010, seeds planted 01.2011, first flowering 07.2011. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect habit, stem length 15 cm. Leaves green, 4 cm long, 3 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 6 cm wide, yellow and red. Striking yellow blossoms with red spots and sections on the petals, very suitable for outdoor growing.
