Primulina Zhou’s Moon Palace

Primulina ‘Zhou’s Moon Palace’, 2021, IR211649, hybridized by Fang Wen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Yi Huang; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. ronganensis x P. glandaceistriata ‘Chang Ngo’). Cross made 04.12.2019, seeds planted 11.11.2019, first flowering 05.02.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem ca. 1.5 cm. Leaves green slightly fleshy, both surfaces sparsely pubescent, 4-5 cm long, 3.5-4 cm wide, 4-5 cm petiole, ovate to orbicular with cuneate to cordate base, rounded tip, nearly entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, yellowish green, ca. 8 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.5-2 cm, 4-6 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 3 cm long, ca. 2.3 cm wide, pale purple to whitish purple with purple and yellow stripes. Medium size plant. Prefers brightly scattered light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not over-fertilize and overwater, sensitive to cold.
